Brawl Stars goes space-anime with Season 50: Starr Patrol

Supercell launched Season 50 “Starr Patrol” on May 7, 2026, and it runs for 28 days until June 4, 2026. The theme: a sci-fi universe soaked in anime aesthetics, where a space patrol team takes on the cosmic villain Void Master Finx.

Season 50 packs in a lot:

Starr Nova: the free Mythic Assassin

The biggest announcement of Season 50 is that Starr Nova is free. No paid Brawl Pass required — active players can unlock her through the Starr Nova Event. Launched on May 24, 2026, she is the 103rd Brawler in the game and sits at Mythic rarity, the highest tier available.

In terms of gameplay, Starr Nova is an Assassin: high movement speed, aggressive melee-oriented attacks. Her character concept is a cosplayer so committed to her anime persona that she handles every fight with a sword. She fits the aggressive, fast-moving archetype that experienced Assassin players will recognize immediately.

To unlock her for free, players need to participate in the dedicated Starr Nova Event, which also features a special trophy mode and a temporary Nova Drops shop offering additional season rewards.

Void Master Finx boss event

A highlight of Season 50 is the Void Master Finx boss event, a cooperative (or competitive) challenge where players face off against the season’s cosmic big bad. This format has become a Brawl Stars staple — it concentrates the community around a shared goal and distributes rewards that standard modes don’t offer.

The Starr Nova Challenge followed shortly after, giving players a competitive arena to test their skills with the new Brawler and earn challenge-specific rewards. It reportedly launched earlier than scheduled, which caught many players pleasantly off guard.

Brawl Pass: Spike and Colette collections

Season 50’s Brawl Pass splits into two themed skin collections:

Starr Patrol collection (Spike):

• Starr Scout Spike
• Starr Guardian Spike (with chroma variant)

Void collection (Colette):

• Void Colette
• White Dwarf Colette
• Black Hole Colette (with chroma variant)

Brawl Pass holders also receive the exclusive Starr Patrol player title, plus the usual season rewards (gems, Starr tokens, Boxes, Credits). As always, Brawl Pass cosmetics are removed at season’s end — if you’re targeting the Spike or Colette skins, June 4 is your deadline.

Adidas collab and Super Ball mode

Running alongside the season’s main content, Brawl Stars has teamed up with Adidas to introduce Super Ball mode, played inside an Adidas Arena environment. It’s one of the more distinctive brand partnerships Supercell has pulled off — taking a game known for its anime and pop-culture collabs into a premium sportswear collaboration.

Just before Season 50 started, the My Hero Academia collaboration (April 28 – May 7, 2026) wrapped up after a successful run, with anime-themed skins on iconic MHA characters. Supercell effectively bridged two high-profile pop-culture collabs back to back.

Season 50 closes on June 4, 2026. Here’s the checklist if you haven’t gotten there yet:

1. Unlock Starr Nova through the Starr Nova Event (free but time-limited)
2. Complete the Brawl Pass if you’ve purchased it — Starr Patrol and Void skins won’t come back
