Anime Fury Season 2’s mid-season update overhauls Hero progression

Supercell dropped a substantial mid-season update on June 16, 2026 as part of Anime Fury Season 2. The patch introduces a brand-new Hero progression track, a unique new troop, a new Dark Elixir spell, and quality-of-life improvements that benefit players at every Town Hall level. Here’s what changed and what it means for your base.
- Hero Journey — a new reward track that converts every Hero level into tangible rewards, available from TH7
- Ruin Witch — new army troop at TH16 that summons Ruin Knights from destroyed buildings
- Angry Spell — new Dark Elixir spell at TH15 that forces all troops to attack the nearest defense
- Clan Games — running June 22–28 with boosted tasks

Hero Journey: every Hero level finally rewarded {#h-hero-journey}
Hero Journey is a progression track accessed through the Hero Hall building, available from Town Hall 7 onwards. It tracks the cumulative upgrade levels of all your Heroes — every Hero level you unlock on any Hero adds one point to your Hero Journey total.
Rewards unlocked along the track include:
- Tiered Ore Chests (Shiny, Glowy, Starry) to accelerate equipment upgrades
- Pre-levelled Epic Hero Equipment calibrated to your Town Hall level
- Exclusive Legendary Hero Skins only obtainable through the Hero Journey
- Magic Items, Magic Snacks and in-game resources
For high-level accounts already sitting on hundreds of Hero levels, Supercell implemented an automatic retroactive migration: the system calculated your Hero Journey milestone based on your existing Hero levels and distributed Epic Equipment accordingly. If your account still lacked usable Epic Equipment for your Town Hall after migration, bonus levels were added to existing equipment pieces.
A catch-up system provides extra Ore to returning players and lower-progression accounts, keeping the feature accessible without requiring years of grinding from newer bases.
Ruin Witch: the troop that feeds on destruction {#h-ruin-witch}
Available at Town Hall 16, the Ruin Witch is a fundamentally different take on the witch archetype. Rather than cycling endless skeletons, she summons Ruin Knights directly from destroyed buildings on the map — the more structures you raze, the more Knights she spawns.
This creates a late-raid feedback loop: the Ruin Witch scales with your army’s success rather than operating independently. She goes dormant once no usable ruins remain, but by that point your raid is typically already won. She launches with 4 upgrade levels.
Angry Spell: redirecting your army in seconds {#h-angry-spell}
The Angry Spell is a new Dark Elixir spell unlocked at Dark Spell Factory Level 8 (Town Hall 15). It covers a 6-tile radius and immediately redirects all ground and air troops — including Heroes — to attack the nearest defensive building for up to 17.5 seconds at max level.
The only units unaffected are Siege Machines, which maintain their standard targeting.
In practice, the Angry Spell acts as a targeting override for disorganized assault groups. Dropped on a cluster of wandering troops near a key defensive cluster, it can convert scattered attacks into a focused takedown of Inferno Towers or Scattershots before they tear through your army.
Anime Fury Season 2 and upcoming events {#h-season}
Anime Fury Season 2 runs through June 30, 2026, following an anime storyline across six Heroes and a corrupted Protector. The June Gold Pass features the Anime Fury Duke Legendary skin (a Dragon Duke redesign), alongside five additional anime Hero skins and an XL shrine-inspired Scenery.
Clan Games started today, June 22, and run until June 28. Boosted tasks let clans rack up points faster than usual — an ideal time to run Ruin Witch and Angry Spell combos and report back to your clanmates.
The Football Fury event (Barbarian Kicker, Giant Thrower, Yellow Card Spell temporary troops) continues through June 30, adding even more variety to the second half of the month.
